with our wonderful friends from Maryland.
( we only get to see them once a year and it is very special

The garden
is still humming with bees!

As we rode
by the beach, we were surprised by the number
of gulls in the ocean among some eider ducks.

Brody was
very concerned by the song of the Carolina Wren
nearby as the pumpkin that Dave carved was concerned
about Brody!

Dave picked
2 large heads of broccoli from our vegetable garden...
you can tell what we will be dining on for some time...

The ocean
sparkled with pinks from the sunset....

2009 Wednesday...begins very dark and rainy, then the sun
peers through big clouds, skies darken with a bit of lightning,
rain, sun and wind
all at the same time!

Lighthouse in Biddeford Pool...we spent a lovely brisk afternoon
here and at Hill's Beach with goldenn light...for our anniversary.

Today was
the Scarecrow Festival at the Nonantum in Kennebunkport...
we were under a tent alog the Kennebunk River...there's my display
and
scarecrow and Dave is carving a pumpkin. It was so very cold
and windy!
