November
1, 2008 ~ Saturday...sun and clouds

Here's the
young red squirrel enjoying a pear!
That seems to be her favorite!

November
2, 2008 ~ Sunday...clear and very cold...set the clock back last
night

The sunset
earlier tonight...the sea was so calm with
a gentle ripple on the surface leading to a pale pink and
soft blue sky.

November
3, 2008 ~ Monday...very very cold...feels like winter!

The sunset
took us by surprise when the sun made a guest
appearance through an opening in the clouds.

November
4, 2008 ~ Tuesday...what a difference a day makes...sun and much
warmer!

While at
the Budget Box this afternoon, browsing around we came
upon a new addition to the shop....a cage from Safe Haven
Humane Society...and there I fell in love with Violet...
a Ragamuffin cat..so sweet...our house is full and I wish we
had
room for one more but realistically I know we don't.
She was sharing the cage with Jackson, another friendly cat
in need of a wonderful home.

November
5, 2008 ~ Wednesday...very warm...so much so that I took
a bike ride to the ocean...

So warm I
didn't even need a heavy coat...along the way I took
many photos and you can see my journey on my blog,

November

on the cat and bunny portraits.

November
8, 2008 ~ Saturday...foggy with rain in the evening

A beautiful
little pumpkin was sitting on a log around the corner
at Gooch's Beach in the fog!

In the distance, I saw a father and daughter walking along the
jetty in the misty fog.

The little red squirrel
could be seen in her sheltered spot eating
sumflower seeds...almost like eating pistacio nuts, once you
start
it's hard to stop! You can see the little pile of shells.

November
9, 2008 ~ Sunday...crisp cool air with sun and clouds

Polly basks
in the late afternoon sun streaming in from the window.

The sea is lighter than the sky as the sun sets...

November
12, 2008 Wednesday...sun ...very clear and cold

We saw her
again in the afternoon...she scurried away
into a tree. We think she may be hanging out with the
other red squirrels down near the brook.

The Harvest
Moon rose in the late afternoon.

November
13, 2008 Thursday...brief sun turns cloudy, gray and bitter cold
with rain in the eve

Worked on this pet portrait today...hope to finish it tomorrow.

Through the
sunny window at my parent's house,
high up in a tree, this gray squirrel was doing
acrobatics to reach the fruit of the crabapple.

November

While taking
a walk around the block with my sister,
I spotted a very large bird fly into a nearby tree.

home
with Tiger!

November
25, 2008 ... Tuesday...a rainy day in Connecticut

I seem to
see many adorable squirrels here
in Connecticut! My Mom and I were sitting on
their little enclosed porch when we saw a deer
run down the street at the top of the hill
in the midst of the suburbs. So sad for them
for their habitat is disappearing.

November
26, 2008 ... Wednesday...a beautiful day

While sitting
on the porch with my Mom, this beautiful junco
rested beside us.

this pumpkin and he had watched quietly as a
squirrel went to work on it!

Late in the
afternoon Dave and I sat in silence watching
this magnificent heron from the car window.
