	February 1, 2007 ~ Thursday ~ starts out cold and cloudy...warms a bit..... Did errands in Biddeford, and even in a parking lot at a grocery store, the magnificent moon appeared between the few trees on the edge of the parking lot creating a magical scene. February 2, 2007 ~ Friday ~ a cloudy day...we missed a snow storm Here's Polly ! some days one finds it difficult to get much accomplished and I had one of those days... February 3, 2007 ~ Saturday ~ early morning calm , the sun brings wind and cold When I opened my eyes in the early morning, the sky had pink tones. I got up at 6:30 am. to look out of the window to see how much snow fell last night and was amazed to see that a full moon was still visible! I was so excited that I quickly put on my boots and coat and ran outside to capture the moments with the moon. It wasn't cold and all was calm and quiet. The birds were still asleep.

	February 4, 2007 ~ Sunday ~ bright sun and very cold
		It's Sunday morning and I got up early to peer out of my frosted dormer window to see the moon. Again, I bundled up to go outside with my camera. This might inspire a new painting today.	a beginning

	February 5, 2007 ~ Monday ~ bright sun and even colder This morning it was much too cold to go outside to photograph so this is the view through my window as the sun touched the treetops. February 6, 2007 ~ Tuesday ~ bitter cold wind with sun At the beach we saw a solitary sandpiper eating along the side of the road being watched by a gull.

	February 7, 2007 ~ Wednesday ~ another bitter cold sunny day Goose Rocks Beach
	We took a ride to Goose Rocks Beach today and the air was so clear! The sea had a beautiful deep blue green tint. While riding home we stopped to observe the sheep at a nearby farm.

	February 8, 2007 ~ Thursday ~ very windy, sunny and cold Though is was bitter cold outside, Polly soaked up the morning sun and is relfected in the window. I'm reflecting about my grandmother today. February 9, 2007 ~Friday ~ more wind, sun and cold Ellie May finds comfort in David's hooded sweatshirt on these cold days. February 10, 2007 ~Saturday ~ starts out a bit cloudy Polly's secret admirer in waiting
		This morning Brody was in his waiting position for the lovely Polly to make her flying leap off the counter to the couch. He thinks she doesn't know he's there...but she does!	Brody

	February 11, 2007 ~ Sunday ~ another sunny day and it feels cold to us! inside my studio in the late afternoon
		The gardenia plant bloomed today filling the air with an old-fashioned fragrance.

	February 12, 2007 ~ Monday ~ sunny and a good day for chopping the ice in the pathways before the next storm predicted for Wednesday. Ellie May is inspecting my painting of the horses (Lexxie and Blue) that I met on the beach in January. February 13, 2007 ~ Tuesday ~ sunny and so cold and there's a storm brewing for tomorrow. Today Ellie May and I are working on a portrait of dogs. February 14, 2007 ~ Wednesday ~ It's the Valentine's Day N'oreaster! a stormy gusty afternoon
	I'm drawing with Ellie May!	Hope you can spend time to share a special moment with one you care about.	Brody and David watching the birds at the feeder this morning.

	evening and it's still snowing February 15, 2007 ~ Thursday ~ shoveled snow this morning and the wind has been furious all day!

	February 16, 2007 ~ Friday ~ this is the coldest day and the wind is roaring!
		As the sun set this evening the sky suddenly became brilliant with a pink glow.

	February 17, 2007 ~Saturday ~ clear blue skies and a bit warmer the wind has calmed down the cows down the road are munching in the warmth of the sun on a winter afternoon

	February 18, 2007 ~Sunday ~ sun and clouds and a quickly passing snow flurry Those who have met Ellie May often commented that it looks like she is wearing eye mascara but she's a natural beauty inside and out! February 19, 2007 ~Monday ~ sun and super cold While riding by Gooch's Beach late this afternoon, the tide was out and along the edge of the ocean were Canada Geese!
			David harvested the catnip plant and made a bouquet for the cats. Brody discovered it shortly thereafter!

	February 20, 2007 ~Tuesday ~ cloudy and a variey of birds are hanging around the feeders. Besides the chickadees, I noticed a robin, woodpecker, titmouse, blue jay, cardinals, a finch and junco, starlings, mourning doves and the cedar waxwings made a quick stop.

	February 21, 2007 ~Wednesday ~ sun and it feels much warmer for the temperature is in the 30's The chickadee I photographed yesterday in the crabapple tree is becoming a painting today with the guidance of Ellie May, who really knows her birds! February 22, 2007 ~Thursday ~ sun and clouds This is one of Brody's favorite positions.   A Pumpkin Mouse House When David carried the giant pumpkin off of our little front porch to set it down outside in the snow he noticed a hole in the back. Ummm, a mouse must have been very busy all winter and had moved into this fine home! February 23, 2007 ~Friday ~ very sunny but becomes windy and bitter cold Ellie May is ready for drawing first thing in the morning. Waiting for the drawing hand..... Looks about right! February 24, 2007 ~Saturday ~ another clear day with strong winds making it very cold Dave put our old apples in the branches of the crabapple tree so that the birds like robins will have something to eat for they have returned early this year. Ellie May is a great lap cat and loves to snuggle but normally doesn't like to be picked up and held but her Dad has a special touch. February 25, 2007 ~Sunday ~ sun and less wind brings a day that almost feels spring-like A walk to the jetty at Gooch's Beach revealed a fishing boat returning full force. The beach was full of people and their frolicking dogs. In the early evening, I looked over at the studio to see Ellie May looking back at me. ( that's her in the left window) February 26, 2007 ~Monday ~ cloudy This is a first, both cats on the counter. in a peaceful manner. Brody has an incredible fascination with Polly and he constantly tries to get as close as possible without Polly noticing....if he enters her safety zone...fur can fly! February 27, 2007 ~Tuesday ~ sun and bright blue skies
	Today began with golden sunlight bouncing off the drawn shades creating a fine silhouette of the objects in the window.	The late afternoon sun lit up the cedar waxwings who returned for a brief visit to our yard.	A walk with David on Gooch's Beach this afternoon brought long shadows at a brisk pace.

	February 28, 2007 ~Thursday ~ there's a feeling of spring in the air with blue skies
	There's a sign that the horses, Lexxie and Blue, were at the beach for they left behind the pattern of their prints. Sorry we missed seeing them!	David found beautiful angelwings while walking on Gooch's Beach this afternoon.	A walk to jetty and a view down the Kennebunk River with me and my shadow!
