Ellie
May
Ellie May came into our lives
in 1993, when she moved
into the apartment above
our Gallery in Kennebunkport.
This tiny kitten
eventually discovered
the spiral staircase leading
to the sidewalk which led
to a whole new world of
discovery and excitement
in this
charming seacoast town.
There were shops, a
lobster pound,
restaurants, Inns and
Hotels, beaches, a dock
with lobster boats and
bait and all kinds of
people and dogs
on vacation.
I
hope to capture that
special time here.

on the street...it was her stage!

This
is a collection of Nancy's photos, art and stories

amazing story of
Ellie May.
It
will depict her adventures
as a young cat discovering
the world around her in a
tourist seacoast town.
Then
later, as a shop cat
in our Maine Memories AKA
Cooper Funk Gallery, she
had a job as a greeter.
She also helped with sales
and she pursued her own
artistic endeavors.
